About the role
As an Exam Invigilator, you'll help create a calm, fair, and secure environment for students during exams. Working under the guidance of the Exams Officer, you'll follow the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) Regulations to make sure everything runs smoothly. What kind of difference could you make to a young person on one of the most important days of their school year?
Key responsibilities
- Set up exam rooms and check student attendance and identity
- Distribute exam material(s) to the candidates
- Give clear instructions to students about exam procedures
- Keep the exam room quiet and handle any issues calmly and fairly
- Watch for and remove any items students shouldn't have
- Collect exam papers and materials safely at the end
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies
We are looking for someone who
You don't need previous exam experience, but you do need good literacy skills and the ability to stay calm when things get busy. Can you communicate clearly and follow a schedule? We'd love to hear from people who have worked with children or young people, or who have managed groups in other settings. Do you have resilience, integrity, and a patient approach to supporting others?
