Lift North Utterby are looking for an additional Midday Supervisor to join there team for 10 hours a week, 39 weeks per year (term time only). Whether you've supervised children as a parent, carer or in another setting, your skills and approach are what count.
About the role
As a Midday Supervisor, you'll look after students during breaktimes, making sure they stay safe, feel supported and enjoy their time outside the classroom. You'll be there to guide positive behaviour, help resolve any issues that come up, and keep an eye on things in dining areas, playgrounds and other spaces around the school. Key responsibilities
- Keep students safe as they move around the school and use the dining areas
- Watch over students during lunch breaks and help manage behaviour in a calm and fair way
- Spot any hazards or concerns and take action quickly to keep everyone safe
- Support students who may be upset or experiencing bullying, and share any concerns with the right staff
- Help organise lunchtime clubs or activities when needed
- Keep tables and benches clean and tidy after meals
We are looking for someone who
You don't need formal qualifications or previous school experience to apply. What matters most is that you care about young people and can stay calm under pressure. Can you build good relationships and work well with others? We'd love to hear from you if you're patient, empathetic and organised. Are you ready to bring your warmth and positive energy to our students? Skills and experience that would be advantageous are:
- Experience of supervising children or young people as a parent or carer.
- Patience, empathy and the ability to relate to young people
- Basic first aid training
