Are you passionate about helping young people learn, grow and reach their potential? Lift Brockworth are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference every day.

Your new school
Lift Brockworth is a two form entry primary school on an ambitious journey to make a real difference to the lives of our children. If you join our team at Brockworth, we can offer you large spacious classrooms, fantastic grounds, two halls, chromebooks and iPads for every class, an academy library, excellent resources for the curriculum and our very own technology workshop, which includes a large kitchen. The school is committed to ensure that all children achieve their very best academically but also have access to wide-ranging opportunities that encourage aspiration. We have camping trips, visits to the seaside, curriculum days, outdoor learning and much more.

About the role
You'll work in partnership with teachers to help students access the curriculum, build confidence and experience success. This is a chance to support young people with diverse learning needs, including SEND, while helping them grow as independent learners. Could this be the role where you truly make an impact?

Key responsibilities

  • Support students to access lessons and achieve their learning goals
  • Work with teachers to plan and assess high-quality learning activities
  • Guide individuals and small groups through targeted learning sessions
  • Build positive relationships and support wellbeing and behaviour
  • Work with teachers, pastoral staff and families to help all students succeed

What you'll need to succeed
You'll have GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or be willing to work towards functional skills. We're looking for someone who communicates well, shows empathy and patience, and enjoys working with young people. Basic IT skills are helpful, and a willingness to learn is essential. Do you stay calm under pressure and adapt well to different situations?

What we offer

  • A supportive team culture where your ideas and individuality are valued
  • Access to our Level 3 Teaching Assistant training programme
  • Clear opportunities to progress into further training and teaching roles
  • A chance to contribute to a school community that cares about equality and inclusion
  • Ongoing learning and development to help you grow professionally
