- carry out minor repairs and maintenance to fixtures, fittings and furniture, and report any major issues to the area site manager;
- open and close the school daily, and act as a principal keyholder for emergency call-outs;
- oversee contractors on site, working with the area site manager to make sure planned maintenance and other works are carried out safely and effectively;
- complete daily and weekly statutory checks, logging and recording all tests using our systems; and
- make sure all health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures are followed, seeking advice when needed.
What we're looking for
You will have:
- level 2 qualifications in maths and English (GCSE grade 4 or equivalent);
- background in premises management, building cleaning or building management;
- knowledge of security systems, health and safety procedures and COSHH regulations;
- good DIY skills and the ability to carry out general repairs, including lifting and moving heavy items;
- the ability to manage your own time, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines; and
