Are you passionate about helping young people learn and grow? Lift Caldicotes is looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in our children's lives every day. Could this be the start of something special for you?
About the role
You'll play an important part in helping students within EYFS access learning and achieve their goals. Working closely with teachers, you'll support students with different needs, including those with SEND, and help create a positive learning space where everyone can thrive. You'll also build trusted relationships with students and guide them towards becoming more independent learners. What impact could you have on a young person's education?
Key responsibilities
- Support students to access lesson content and achieve their learning goals, including those with specific SEND needs
- Work together with teachers to plan engaging lessons and assess how students are progressing
- Help students build independent learning skills and manage their own progress
- Work with small groups or individual students on targeted learning activities
- Create positive relationships with students and support their wellbeing and personal development
- Work with teachers, parents and carers to help every student succeed
- Be flexible to support in all areas of the school as and when needed
We are looking for someone who has
Good communication skills, empathy, patience and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations will help you succeed. A flexible, proactive approach and a genuine passion for primary education.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or currently working towards it)
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above)
- Experience supporting children in Key Stage 1 or EYFS
- Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with SEND
- Familiarity with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc
- Understanding of child development and how children learn
- Positive behaviour management experience
- UK right to work - we are unable offer sponsorship for this position
